Mary F. Goodwin

Our beloved Mary Fripp Goodwin died to this life August 19, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Eugene Dex Goodwin Jr. A Private graveside service will be held at Woodridge Memorial Park, followed by a memorial service Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Murray Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.

She is survived by five children: Pam Lane (Hal), Pennie Parker (Ken), Bud Goodwin (Vivian), Mollie Froneberger, Rick Camerino (Erin); two grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She leaves behind three brothers and two sisters and her fur-baby, Allie.

She was born in Columbia, SC December 25, 1929. Mary was a charter member of Forest Lake Presbyterian Church and was also a charter member of Lake Murray Presbyterian Church. She was President of the Women of the Church at Lake Murray which she helped establish. She was a circle leader and taught Sunday school. She co-chaired the Women’s Christmas Bazaar and was also active in the Knit Witts group. Mary was a certified medical assistant at Columbia Skin Clinic.

Those around her reveled in her warmth and generosity of spirit. Mary was extremely talented and many enjoyed her crafts and artistry. She loved her church and lived for her family.
