Marvin was skilled in many areas. He was an accomplished author, skilled craftsman, certified electrician, mechanic, and repairman. He challenged himself with projects and was always ready to start a new one.
Some of his hobbies and interests included writing, backpacking (he hiked over 700 miles on the Appalachian Trail), motorcycles, clock repair and restoration, car restoration, bird watching, research, history, archaeology, foreign travel, woodworking, and more.
Marvin touched many lives – on the trail, in the neighborhood, within the family, and everywhere he went. He genuinely cared for all.
