Maggie and Dave will be missed by me and many other people, they were a great team.

Because my Dad was married to Magpie, I came to know her through him.  She was a special woman whom I will never forget.  She and I took it hard when Dad passed away and I believe her and I became even closer.  I love her so much and I truly miss her already.  I believe one of my favorite memories of Magpie was back in 2006.  I was living in Brooklyn, New York and I was dating this beautiful woman Luisa (who is now my wife!!!)  Luisa, who'd never really been to far out of New York, and I decided to take a trip to SC so she could meet my family.  As I was explaining who everyone was and telling stories and such, I came to Magpie.  I said she was reserved, smiled a lot, loved my Dad, and loved tennis.  The night we came over to Dad and Magpie's house, my Dad had always heard me talk about Luisa's cooking.  So he asked if she'd cook us all a meal, with our help of coarse.  She happily accepted.  She made "Pepper Steak".  I remember it smelled so good in the house.  Luisa had finished cooking and the table was set.  Luisa put the pepper steak in a plate from the pan and we began making ourselves drinks.  All of the sudden, Dad was looking behind Luisa and I toward the kitchen and said, shocked, "Magpie, what are you doing?"  I looked back and saw Margaret holding the pan that the pepper steak was cooked in up to her face, licking the pan, saying, "OOOOOOhhhhhh, Luisa, this is sooooooooooo good!"  We laughed and laughed together that night.  I guess she dispelled that whole "reserved" remark!  She was a special lady who my son, my wife, and I love so much and she will be sorely missed.  Rest in Peace Magpie.  Tell Dad I said, "DUUUUUUUUUUUDE!"

Maggie was my "sister in Christ" and I will truly miss her. She had many gifts but one of her special gifts was love. She made each and every friend feel like they were her best friend and she had many"best friends".  A special memory I have is at a tennis tournament. Maggie entered my name in a drawing for a complete tennis outfit.  The stipulation was the winner had to model this tennis wear at the party.  I could not do this so Maggie dressed up in the tennis clothes, added a tierra, star shapped glasses and a magic wand. She was the hit of the party that night!  I will always love you, Maggie. My prayers for Todd, Mark and Chad. Keep those memories always.

So sad to hear Maggie passing away, thoughts and prayers to her sons.

Maggie was like a second mom to me.  I loved her dearly and will miss her so much.  We sat together in church often, listening to the sermon and whispering about the parts we liked best.  She had the heart of a servant and was always helping in any way she could. My life is better because Maggie was in it.

Maggie was the best.  She taught me so much about tennis and being on a team that wins!  Going to Nationals with her and the Rusty Racquets will be a memory I will cherish forever.  She loved her boys so much.  She will be deeply missed,  Love, Terri Vick-Phillips

Sending our thoughts and prayers to you from your Tradesmen family.

A a child I spent many fun evenings at 'the white store in Porter'.  We played 'kick the can' and 'guess which hand' on the staircase.  She was always fun to be with and always the same happy go lucky personality. She always made You feel special. As we grew up and had our families we were in touch as we shared the birth of our five sons.Her presence will always be missed.

Todd, Mark & Chad: Your Mom was an incredible woman, She practiced what she preached. She help me learn how to be civil and judge people by the content of their character not the color of their skin. I am forever grateful for her guidance. Thank you for sharing her with me.

Nothing has prepared us for this!  Your Mom was our sunshine, our rock, and our inspiration so many times in our lives.  She will be missed terribly by everyone who ever met and knew her, because if they ever met her, they loved her the way we do..
