Luca Vincenzo Baxter

Luca was born on September 19, 1993, to Pia Bertucci and Eric Baxter in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He was a helper and a hero, a beloved son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, and friend. Those who knew him can attest to his boundless compassion and kindness, charming wit and sense of humor, and the way he put everyone he met instantly at ease. Luca entered into everything he did with positivity and passion. He was an accomplished and well-rounded athlete, a valued teammate, and a dear friend. Football, soccer, softball, golf, and weightlifting were just some of the many sports he excelled in. Luca was a trained EMT and firefighter.

Luca is survived by his mother, Pia Bertucci and stepfather, Mark Beck, his father, Eric Baxter and stepmother, Anne Baxter, his adoring siblings, Nick Baxter, Cole Beck, and Kami Beck, his sister-in-law Ashley Baxter, his beloved grandparents, Bruno and Beatrice Bertucci and Lucy Dratman, his aunts and uncles, Anna Bertucci, Stephen Miller, Sonja Crum Knight, and Bruce Knight, and his cousins, Biniam, Soren, and Barley.

A celebration of his life will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel (7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063) on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 2-6 pm, with an opportunity for family and friends to share memories and tributes at 3:00 pm.
