Mr. Black passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023. Born in Denmark, SC, he was the son of the late Otto Graham Black and Daisy Elizabeth Hair Black. He graduated from Denmark-Olar High School in 1962 and served in the National Guard. He was a farmer, the mayor of Olar for 16 years, a Volunteer Fireman in Olar and a dedicated Clemson fan. His love for the Lord was exemplified by his love and concern for everyone he encountered. He firmly believed he was here to serve others.
He is survived by his wife, Jean C. Black, his brother, O. B. (Bernice) Black, and son, Kenny Black.
