A celebration of life service for Jennifer Suzanne Allison Dresser, 34, who passed away on August 18, 2019 will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel with burial to follow at Bush River Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel.
Jennifer was born June 10, 1985 in Columbia to David and Wanda Allison. She was a graduate of Dutch Fork High School, class of 2004 and in 2010, she was a recipient of a Bachelors in Science from The University of South Carolina. Jennifer was dedicated to the ongoing conservation of wildlife, restoring, protecting ecosystems and natural wildlife habitats. The University of South Carolina and DNR grants supported Jennifer’s research of Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnakes, American Alligators and Diamondback Terrapins. She could be seen throughout the low country, wrangling rattlesnakes and alligators, surgically tagging and releasing. She was passionate about music and farm to table cooking and scuba diving. Jennifer will be remembered for her compassion, making her a loyal friend to others and her contributions to wildlife education and conservation.
She is predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Charles F. Allison, maternal grandparents, Vincent E. and Dorothy F. White and uncle, Oscar V. White. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 8 years, Nick Dresser, furbabies, Howard and Joe, parents, David C. Allison and Wanda White Allison, sister, Erin F. Allison, paternal grandmother, Suzanne Barden, aunt, Stacy Allison, uncles, Jonathan Allison, Mark Allison (Meghann), cousins, Brittany Allison, Katherine Allison, Michaela Allison and Tate Allison. Jennifer is also survived by her mother-in-law, MaryAnn Davis, father-in-law, Bennett Dresser and the Dresser family, godparents, Dick and Winkie Goodwin godchildren, Cameron Rogers, McKenzie Rogers and countless friends and extended family.
