A Celebration of the Life of Jacquelyn “Jackie” LaTorre Rodriguez, 82, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Jackie was born on November 9, 1937 and passed away on her 82nd birthday, November 9, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Salvadore and Allie Mae Hipp Salvadore. She was the wife of the late Wally Rodriguez. Jackie was a graduate of Eau Claire High School and she worked for many years as a Patient Care Assistant. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
A kind and loving soul, she believed in looking at the brightest side of life and she was an avid collector of Cabbage Kids. “Que Sera Sera” could have been her theme song as even a traffic jam gave her the opportunity for a car show. Jackie had a love of travel. Adventurous and full of life, Jackie flew across the equator in a hot air balloon while in Africa. She also traveled throughout the world enjoying the beauty of Spain, Europe, Ireland, and other countries and continents, having only missed traveling throughout the Orient.
Surviving are her daughter, Debralyn Kendrick (Bonneau); son, Jody Ellisor; step-daugther, Michael Amy Cira; step-son, Daniel (Helen) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Torre (Max) Graber, Tallulah Scippo, Zachary Rodriguez, and Rocco Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Rilyn Graber and Kobe Graber.
