IRMO – Henry L. O’Cain, age 82, passed quietly at his home on Tuesday May 6, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Alice. He was an Army Veteran who served in the Korean War where he earned numerous commendations including the Purple Heart and participated in the Human Exposure trial ‘Operation Tumber-Snapper’ conducted in Nevada in the early 50’s. His military service instilled a deep dedication to country and a passion for overcoming challenges and obstacles which he shared with his kids and grandkids throughout his life. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday May 9th at the Memorial Chapel on Fort Jackson, services will follow. Funeral Services with Honors will begin at 12:00 at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
