Frances Kay Estes Hallman

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Frances Kay Estes Hallman, 88, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Elmwood Mausoleum.

Mrs. Hallman passed peacefully Wednesday, October 19, 2022. Born in Belton, S.C., she was a daughter of the late James Brezeale and Alice Phillips Kay. She moved to Columbia, S.C. and raised three children with her first husband Grady Estes. She remarried George Hallman and poured their passion for gardening into George’s Farm & Garden.

Frances was predeceased by her first husband, Grady Estes and two children James “Bill” Estes; and daughter, Donna Estes Griffith; and second husband George Hallman. She is survived by her daughter, Alice Frances Estes; granddaughter Kay D’Anne Estes; and great-grandchildren, Katie Elizabeth Estes and Eric George Estes. She is also survived by grandson, William Franklyn Estes, son of Donna Estes.

The family wishes to thank her close friends Pat Sykes and Stephanie Briggs for their unconditional love and support through the years.
