IRMO – Elida Garcia, 80, died Monday, June 8, 2020. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Pablo Garcia and Adela Valentin Garcia. Elida loved to garden, planting flowers, sewing, dancing, and laughing. She was a member of New Life Community Church in Irmo.
Surviving are her 3 children, Rosalyn “Roz” Rivera (Shanna Poston) of Irmo, Nancy Shingles (Paul) of Irmo, and Raymond Rivera (Stacy) of Leesville, SC; and her siblings, Reina Garcia, Carmin Garcia, Luz Garcia, Poderosa Garcia, and Santo Garcia, all of Puerto Rico.
