Edwin Lee Brown Jr.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, May 13th, 2024 at Dunbar Funeral Home, 3926 Devine Street, Columbia SC, with Pastor Jason Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC.

Born on March 9th, 1928 in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of Edwin Lee Brown Sr. and Edith Owen Brown. He was married to Sarah Anne Robinson for 19 years, until she passed away from cancer in 1975. He previously owned Brown Architect Inc in Gainesville, Ga., where he was an architect. Mr. Brown was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Greenwood, SC. He served in the Air Force Reserve in Charleston SC, attended The Citadel, and was a 1957 graduate of Clemson University. He has resided in Columbia, SC, Atlanta, Ga, Gainesville, Ga, Hilton Head Island, SC and Greenwood SC.

Mr. Brown is survived by his sons, Trey Brown of Jefferson, Ga and Christian Robinson Brown of Lawrenceville, Ga; granddaughters, Hannah Nicole Love, Danielle Marie Brown, and Kelly Brown; grandson, Steven Lee Brown; great-granddaughters, Brooke and Hailey Love; great-grandsons, Brixton and Hunter Lee Brown. Mr. Brown also leaves his nephews Rick Moore, Tad Abrams and Tom, Dick and Steve Robinson. Mr. Brown's nieces are Robin Rutledge, Leslie Wrenn, Nancy Oaks, and Kim Bowden Kirby.
