Dr. Barry C. Reynolds

Dr. Barry C. Reynolds, 83, passed away on May 5, 2024. Born and raised in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Wade Henry Reynolds and Leslie Chaplin Reynolds. He was a graduate of Wofford College and proud alumni from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Reynolds practiced dentistry in his private practices in Columbia and Irmo for over 50 years. His heart was in dentistry and he deeply enjoyed helping his patients. Barry was an avid hunter and fisherman in his younger years. He had a passion for history and loved to share his stories. Barry was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his children, Allison (Jeff), Jason (Natalie); grandchildren, Abbie Grace Hooper, Travis Priester and Noah Reynolds; sister, Nancy Reynolds; several nieces and nephews, and dear lifetime best friend, Dr. William Gist.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Eugenia White Reynolds “Jena” and brothers, Wade Roddy Reynolds and Samuel Leslie Reynolds.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 10, 2024 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
