Cynthia Prevatte Overby

A Memorial Service for Cynthia “Cindy” Prevatte Overby, 67, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Union United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo, is assisting the family. Cindy passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015. Born in Bennettsville, she was a daughter of the late Roland and Leona Prevatte. She was a member of Union UMC and a former member of the Joy Sunday School Class. Cindy retired from Consolidated Metal Products in 2011. She was a member and Past Director of the Central SC HOG Club and very active in the state HOG Rally. She was a member of the Lady Sportsters at the Jamil Temple and Ladies of the Nile. She was also an avid quilter. Surviving are her husband of 33 years, Pleas Overby III; daughters, Kimberly Matthews (Scott), Mary Wade Binder (Nick), Whitney Bernal (Ever); grandchildren, Marlie, Pierce, Christopher, Kayla, Bethany, Melanie, Cristian, Savana, Milli and Evangelina; and brother, Eddie Prevatte. She was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Yarborough.
