Charles, affectionally known as "Charlie" by many, was born in Sanford, NC to the late Charles Bellet Trebuchon, Sr., and Carolyn Kennedy Trebuchon. Charles was a graduate of Easley High School and attended his freshman year of college at the University of SC and sophomore year at Spartanburg Junior College before falling in love and marrying the love of his life, Gail. Over the course of his life, he worked a variety of jobs at Platt Saco Lowell, Mount Vernon Mills - which is now the SC State Museum, C&S Bank and before retiring, he dedicated the last 25 years of his career to Epting Distributors. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Ballentine, SC and a long-time member of the Bates Masonic Lodge # 189 A.F.M. in Easley, SC.
Charles leaves behind his beloved wife of 52 years, Gail Pressley Trebuchon, his daughters Claire Ward and Alice Lishka (Brandon), and his cherished granddaughters Lily, Gabriella, Kate, Delane, Anna, and Rosa. He is also survived by his brother, Lee Trebuchon.
Charles had a larger-than-life personality and loved his family without fail. He also loved Duke basketball and was undoubtedly one of their biggest fans since he was young. He also loved music deeply and attended many concerts over the years with Gail, Claire and Alice. Some of their more memorable were being able to see Elton John, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, The Eagles and Tom Petty. He instilled and passed down his love for music to both of his daughters.
One of Charles' favorite things to do over the years was travel with his family and friends to some of his favorite places including Rocky Bottom and Twin Falls, vacationing with the Pressley Family at Brosnan Forest and more recently annual vacations to Harbor Town in Hilton Head Island, SC. Charles loved making memories with his family and friends and always made sure to document them. He always had a camera or video camera to capture almost every moment and loved to reminisce about past fond memories.
A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles’ memory can be made to Salem United Methodist Church or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
