He leaves behind a wife, Suzanne Smith Pierce of the home; son, Alan Pierce of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Wyatt and Ivy Pierce of Austin; a beloved sister, Susan Pierce of Anacortes, Washington; two stepbrothers, Terry Bailey of Johnson City, Tennessee and Gerry Bailey of Columbia, S.C.
Charles graduated from East Tennessee State with a B.S. in political science. He retired from retail management. After retirement, his main hobbies were stock investments, day trading and golf. He loved his military men and women and folks of public service for the safety of our nation.
