IRMO - A memorial service for Bobby Carroll Fort, Sr., 75, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Fort passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Born in Charleston, SC on June 25, 1944, he was a son of Stanley Oscar Fort and the late Reba Lindler Fort. He was a graduate of Irmo High School and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Surviving in addition to his father are his wife of 34 ½ years, Patricia “Trish” Britt Fort; children, Pebble Briggs (Fatback) of Leesville, Bobby C. Fort, Jr. (Laura) of Gaston, Billy W. Byrd (Kara) of Chapin, and Brad M. Byrd (Stacey) of Chapin; sisters, Marilyn F. Derrick (Gary) of Irmo and Lynne F. Amick (Derriel) of Chapin; grandchildren, Lindsey, Georgia, Andrew, Emily, Landon, Austin, Baileigh, Zachary, and Brady; and great-grandchildren, Addison, Israel, Micah, Ragen, and Emslee.
