Funeral Service for Betty Hulett Guilfoil Hannon, 84, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Lexington, 415 Barr Rd., with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo.
Mrs. Hannon, a true patriotic American, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Hulett Asher Guilfoil and Virginia Bracket Guilfoil. Mrs. Hannon was a member of First Baptist Church of Lexington. She retired from Southern Bell following 31 years of service and a member of the Southern Bell Pioneers. She was also a member of the Columbia Gem and Minerals Society. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Jessy Robert “Bob” Hannon; son, Jeff Hannon (Michelle); daughters, Kathy Stanley, Kim Ferres, Kristi Crabtree (Tommy); grandchildren, Angie, Jennifer, Josh, Amanda, Brittany, Melanie, Corey; great-grandchildren, Amber, Katilynn, Quincy, Jayden, Landon, Christopher, Abigail; Sawyer; and great-great-grandson, A. J. Matis. She is also survived by siblings, Jim Guilfoil (Dee), Lyda Collins, Bessy Cones, Molly Powers (Cecil), Millie McKinney (Ronnie), Ginny Godfrey (Bob), and Becky Schmitz (Terry). She was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Guilfoil and sister, Patti Guilfoil.
