Weldon was born on September 22, 1939 in Wilbarger County, Texas to Conrad Nicholas and Lennie Caroline (Hays) Barker. He grew up with 6 brothers and 1 sister. Weldon was handsome, charismatic and a natural salesman. He made a good living by selling Jacuzzis, weight lifting equipment, security systems and electricity over his long hard-working career. Weldon also coached women's slow-pitch softball for many years in the 80s and was very successful at it; taking the ladies all the way to Nationals. He loved dogs more than almost anything and his beloved dog, Peaches, misses him right now. Weldon was known to pick up strays and always tried his best to help dogs and/or people that needed help with their dogs.
Weldon fought and won a battle against addiction and remained sober since August 21,1989. He successfully sponsored and mentored many others needing support with addiction throughout the years as well.
Weldon married Cueto Ana Gregoria on October 27, 2006.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Ana Barker; daughters, Shelley, Carma, and Beth; stepchildren, Jesus and Daniel; grandchildren, Sidney, Samantha, Kayla, Blake, Uziel Isaia, Dalilah Sarai, and Jesus Andres; and brothers, Jimmy and C.A. Barker.
