Boots,  from the first day you met mom an dad you became  not just a friend but we became family.   Thank you for being there for us when my dad passed away driving my mom to the hospital  .opening up your home an help raise two little girls while mom worked to me you became  the Grandfather I needed in my life. You took me under your wing teaching me how to fish then clean then . I will always have that memory of you an old blue  coming back from fishing trips  Nina coming out with your knife set a rolled up newspaper.  We go to the side of the house a clean that days fish. If it was a good days catch we have fresh fish that night for dinner.
So many memories in the beautiful yard. I loved talking pictures in the flowers.  The backyard was my paradise not many knew about the beauty of it  from the start of Nina’s strawberry garden  to your grapevine you made yourself. Knowing my initials are still carved in the cement a you can see them  40 years later I hope that they stay longer . Your fish pond was beautiful peaceful    A great place to just sit and relax.
 Your woodworking will always be remembered   Sasha big swing ,   Oh never forget my duck on a stick that was one of my favorites you made us girls.  My memories can go on forever.  You are always in my heart  give everyone big hugs from me  I will see you again one day. I love you 

Walter - It has been such an honor to share in your journey. I will always remember your wit and candor, and all the things about your life that you've told me about. Your expressions of love for your wife, your family (especially your granddaughter), and witnessed with your much-loved dog will warm my heart with each remembrance of you. You have touched the lives of so many people. You will be remembered fondly, and will be missed. Yours is a life well lived. I know you have gotten this message. I will see you again someday, hopefully not for a long time for me, but for you - it will be in no time at all.
