Tommy Ray Skelton

The family will receive guests on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas from 6-8 PM. The service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home.

Tommy was born on August 8, 1934 in Harrold, Texas to Willard Skelton and Roberta (Hargrove) Skelton. He was married to his sweetheart, Wanda (Glissen) Skelton on September 17, 1953. They started their life together in Electra, Texas; but they lived the majority of their lives in Wichita Falls where he was an installer for Simpson Carpet Company for 16 years. In 1974 he started Skelton Carpet Service with his son.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Wanda Skelton; five children, Terry and wife, Paula Skelton of Jolly, Texas; Pam and husband, Ron Blankenship; Carla and husband, Jerry Sinclair; April and husband, Michael Anderson, all of Wichita Falls; Keith and wife, Leticia of Salado, Texas. He has 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Tommy enjoyed fishing, working on outdoor projects and spending time with his family.

The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, Beyond Faith Hospice, the Alzheimer’s Association, or Meals on Wheels of Wichita Falls.
