Stephen Howard Wood

A service will be held at the Cemetery Chapel in the Mausoleum at Crestview Memorial Park on February 9,2023 at 2:00 p.m., where Stephen will be buried alongside his parents.

Stephen was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on January 19, 1955, to George Howard Wood and Doris Marie Wood (nee Blum). Stephen grew up in the Wichita Falls area, and moved to Iowa Park in 1968. Stephen graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1973, and thereafter from Vernon Regional Junior College in 1975 with his Associates Degree.

Stephen cherished his friends and a solid day's work, and he recently retired from Howmet Casting & Services, Inc., after 24 years of dutiful service. Stephen volunteered his time for about 15 years at the Obedience Training Club of Wichita Falls. Stephen loved dogs, and had two Shelties of his own until the second passed on, and he was too heartbroken to ever own another. Stephen loved to ride motorcycles, visiting with his friends, and cared deeply for those most important to him. Stephen loved music, especially live music concerts.

Stephen was predeceased by his parents, George and Doris, and left many friends, extended family members, and loved ones behind. Stephen was a man of his word and a true friend to everyone he met. Stephen impacted the lives of so many around him, and will be dearly missed."
