Richard Anthony Reis

A memorial of life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Graveside service will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Electra immediately following the memorial. A reception will be held for family and friends at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Electra following the services.

Richard was born on July 19, 1949, in Electra, Texas to Alexander George Reis, Sr. and Marie Mathilda Veitenheimer Reis. He was a 1967 graduate of Electra High School.

He married the love of his life, Deborah Burke on June 2, 1984, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He spent most of his working career in the oilfield and then in his later years, he fully embraced retirement enjoying all of his free time to the fullest. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger. Richard enjoying hunting, fishing, playing cards and dominoes, watching westerns, and spending time with family.

Survived by his wife, Debbie of Iowa Park; his son Matthew (Courtney) Reis and daughter Julie (Gerry) Tembrock; two sisters, Pam (Scott) Dulaney and Marie Beth Fenoglio; one brother A.G. (Ingrid) Reis, Jr.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
