

Ophelia "Fee" Wheeler went home peacefully to her Lord on September 17, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 21, 2015, at First Christian Church of Iowa Park, Texas. Rev. Landon Winstead will officiate.
Fee was born November 5, 1937, in Holliday, Texas, to Cole and Velma Yancey Tidwell. On March 13, 1957, she married Lawrence Paul Heil Wheeler and they lived an Air Force life until returning to Wichita Falls in 1963.
She was an active member and Treasurer of the First Christian Church of Iowa Park, Texas. Fee dedicated her life to volunteering for numerous organizations such as: Christian Women's Fellowship, APWU and the Women's Auxiliary. She received recognitions for her role as a Political Coordinator, propelling many local, state and national candidates to victory. As a mother, she volunteered as: PTA, Room Mother, Girl Scout Leader, Soccer Mom, and even a Basketball Coach. Though her greatest achievement was making sure to set examples to her four girls and teaching them to always give back to the community.
Family members who have preceded her in death include: Cole Tidwell, father, Velma Skinner, mother. Elmer Skinner, step-father. Barbara Eldridge, sister, and husband Paul Wheeler.
Survivors include four daughters, Patty Dalton and husband Steve, of Weatherford, Texas; Cathy Wheeler-Maldonado and husband, Raul, of Wichita Falls, Texas; Barbara Farmer and husband Ralph, of Colleyville, Texas, and Gina Smith and husband Randy, of Weatherford, Texas; her brother, Cole Winston Tidwell and wife, Jo Rita of Ardmore, Oklahoma; two sisters, Betty Brady of Iowa Park, Texas, Ginger and husband John Mason, of Wichita Falls, Texas, six grandchildren, Alyssa and husband Dennis Diggs, Kristal and husband Nolan Mulholland, Kevin and wife Jennifer Dalton, Louis and wife Monica Mangiacapra, Kyle Smith and Raul Maldonado Jr. and wife, Carrie, eleven great grandchildren: Gabriel, Benjamin, Londyn, Alexander, Kaitlyn, Eneicia, Eusabio, Eusteno, Eryca, Samuel, Seth and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Fee was blessed with the ability to make everyone feel special and loved. Her life was a reflection of laughter, joy, excitement, and enthusiasm. Her life's passions were God, family and country. The family will wear red, white and blue to honor Fee. All who attend are encouraged to join in this tribute.
