Nina Loe Williams Robinson, 83, our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in Wichita Falls, Texas, surrounded by her family and friends.
Nina was born in Spur, Texas on September 19, 1931 to Paul and Pearl (Murphey) Loe. She graduated from Plains High School in May 1948, and attended Texas Tech University. Nina married A.J. “Jay” Williams in Brownfield, Texas on February 10, 1951. Jay passed away October 13, 1989. She married Ronald “Robbie” Robinson on January 14, 1992. Robbie passed away on August 14, 1999.
Nina retired from Sprague Electric in 1990 after working there 22 years. She was a former member of the Iowa Park Garden Club, Eastern Star, and was on the Board of Directors of the Iowa Park Friendly Door. She volunteered at the Iowa Park Friendly Door and the Meals on Wheels program. Nina received the Community Builders Award, the highest Masonic award that can be bestowed on a nonmason. Her hobbies included sewing, reading, traveling, and being at the lake in the mid 70’s through 1993. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park.
Survivors include her brother and wife, Bob and Winell Loe of Canyon, Texas; daughter and husband, Jo and Jimmy Farr of Iowa Park; son and wife, Jerry and Ginger Williams of Azle, Texas; son and wife, Dan and Tandra Williams of Iowa Park; 8 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her step-daughter and husband, Anita and Cliff Michael and step-daughter, Donna Howard, all of Iowa Park; sister-in-law, Garnett Sewell and brother-in-law and wife, Bob and Chris Beatty, all of Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Dutton Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park with Rev. Dennis Neal officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons and serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be J.C. Smith.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wichita Falls; Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park; or to the Iowa Park Friendly Door.
We also want to express our deepest thanks and love to her personal caregivers, Carolyn Houchens and Kaylen Holson and all the nurses, physicians, and personnel with Hospice of Wichita Falls. Thanks to Hospice employees who made it possible to keep our mother at home.
