James “Kenneth” Burks, 67, of Wichita Falls, Texas, went home to be with the Lord February 19, 2014. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, with Chaplain Harvey McMurry officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
He was born May 16, 1946 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked many years traveling the world installing printing presses for Complete Press Services. He was happily married for 47 years and lived for his wife, daughter and grandchildren. His favorite pastime was fishing and cooking and staying busy in his shop. He had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed a good laugh or joke.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The Angels are singing and rejoicing his presence today.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Burks, of Wichita Falls; only daughter, Cindy Hill and husband, Eric, of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Tyler Hayley and fiancé, Madison Morrow, of Wichita Falls; Pake Wheeler and Baylee Wheeler of Iowa Park and Olivia Hill of Amarillo; sister, Judy Eddleman of Gainesville, Texas and brother, Ben Hermanson of Florida, as well as many aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene Foster; brother, Clifford Dewayne Burks; sister, Linda Sue Carter; and half-sister, Tana Laverne McKague.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation with family and friends will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 21, in the reception room at the funeral home.
