Karen Sue Dunsmore Mullen

Karen Sue (Dunsmore) Mullen, 70, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 in Electra, Texas. Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.

Karen was born July 4, 1946 to Paul T. Dunsmore, Sr. and Mary (Slaymaker) in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She spent most of her life in Electra, where she graduated from Electra High School with honors. She was also a member of the Electra High School Band. Karen was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church of Electra. She married Billy Wayne Mullen on October 10, 1964 in Electra. Karen enjoyed crocheting, collecting porcelon dolls, and spending time at the lake. She was an avid OU fan and loved genealogy. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Karen is preceded in death by her father and her husband.

Surviving relatives include her mother, Mary Rogers of Electra; two children, David Mullen of Lubbock, Texas and Greg Mullen and his wife, Danielle of Vernon, Texas; one sister, Doris Armentrout of Electra; one brother, Paul T. Dunsmore, Jr. of New York City, New York; four grandchildren, Mandy, Jeremy, Jordan, and Jason; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
