Per John’s family and friends, he was considered a mechanical genius. After learning alongside his father in the family automotive repair business, he continued to expand his knowledge and excelled in his mechanical aptitude. John shared his talents both professionally and personally. He utilized that aptitude in all aspects of his life to give selflessly for others, and to implement creative excellence in projects that he was awarded. His coworkers reaped the benefits of his knowledge and ethics, while his family and friends enlisted his talents for all school, community, church, personal, and family projects. John answered these calls with enthusiasm and mechanical creativity.
Music also played an extremely important role in his faith and life. John sang baritone in the school choir. He passed his love of music to his children while playing the ukulele and singing as a family. John was a member of the Glory Choir of Wichita Falls and sang with the choir of First Christian Church of Henrietta. Both of these callings brought him great joy and peace right up until his passing.
