Janis Kay Kuykendall

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Kamay, Texas with Rev.’s Paul Kuykendall, Jarrell Kuykendall and Gary Pierce. Burial will be at Electra Memorial Park, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas.

Janis was born June 17, 1945 in New Albany, Indiana. She received her Registered Nurse Licenses in the State of Indiana. She was a homemaker living in Kadane Corner area since 1978.

She and Virgle Kuykendall were married May 7, 1977 in Kamay, Texas.

Her father, Raymond Pierce, birth mother, Doretha Stephenson and son, Christopher Michael Attwood preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Virgle of Kadane Corner; mother, Anita Pierce of New Albany, Indiana; children, Rhonda Daulton and husband, Charles of Wichita Falls, Texas, Kristi Geer and husband, Michael of Burkburnett, Texas, Jeffrey Kuykendall and wife, Rikki of Arlington, Texas, Wayne Attwood of Electra, Texas and James Kuykendall and wife Angie of Venus, Texas; siblings, Donna Nicholson, Gary Pierce and wife Tammy and Debbie Leasure and husband, Louis all of New Albany, Indiana; 21 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Casey Stoud, Colton Richardson, Tanner Reding, Tyler Solomon, Leann Kuykendall and Devin Daulton.
