Jack Eugene Headings, 86, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Lakeview Church of God with Pastor Daniel Robertson officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Highland Cemetery Pavilion under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the funeral home.
Jack was born October 30, 1932 in Milroy, Pennsylvania to Charles F. Headings and Lena (Reed) Runk. He graduated high school in 1950. Upon graduating, Jack enlisted into the United States Air Force. On June 30, 1952, he married Glenna Allen in Henrietta, Texas who preceded him in death on July 10, 2001. On February 13, 2003, he married Wanda Loggins, who preceded him in death on March 11, 2011. Jack spent many years as a truck driver, worked 14 years for Cook’s Flying Service, and 7 years at the City of Iowa Park. Jack was a member of Lakeview Church of God where he played the steel and bass guitars. He was also a member of the Proclaimers Band. Jack enjoyed traveling, music, and spending time with his family.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wives, and 10 siblings.
Surviving relatives include his children, Barbie Johnston and her husband, David; Jackie Headings, all of Iowa Park; Clinton Loggins and his wife, Mickie and Jay Loggins and his wife, Kristy, all of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Sarah Oster and husband, Ted of Atlanta, Georgia; Samantha Talbert and husband, Steven of Iowa Park; Hannah Espinoza and husband, Ruben of Iowa Park; Thomas Smith of Wichita Falls and Kaylynn Loggins of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and Jacob Loggins of Wichita Falls; and great grandchildren, Gabriel Duggins of Iowa Park; Claire and Teddy Oster of Atlanta, Georgia; Dylan and Riece Talbert of Iowa Park; and numerous nieces and nephews.
