Iva Jemima Collier

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Big Valley Cemetery, Chillicothe, Texas, with Mr. Dennis Hoff, of the Southside Church of Christ in Electra, officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas.

Iva was born March 10, 1919 in Hardeman County, Texas, near the Red River north of Quanah, Texas, to Virgil Allen and Ethel Olive (Simmons) Jackson. She married Glenn Collier, Sr., in June, 1937, in Quanah. She had lived in the Electra area since 1958 and the last 7 years lived in Iowa Park. Iva was a homemaker and a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Electra.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 20, 1997, and by a brother, David Jackson.

Survivors include her son, Glenn Collier, Jr., and wife Eleanor, of Iowa Park; a sister, Edith Chandler of Decatur, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Chance Collier of Iowa Park, Charles Collier of Wichita Falls, and Pam Naughton of Denton; 6 great grandchildren, Colby, Kira, Shelby, Mason, Cody and Houston; and 3 great-great grandchildren, Zayden, Zaylee and Ricker.
