Grace Hilma McDowell McCracken

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010 in Electra Memorial Park with Pastor Joe Ainsworth officiating. Burial is under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas.

Hilma, the daughter of the late Maudie (Bean) McDowell and John Curtis McDowell was born on May 27, 1914 in Mart, Texas. She married T.L. McCracken on May 16, 1933 in Frederick, Oklahoma. She lived in Electra most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, T.L. McCracken in 1983; and son, Terry Lynn McCracken in 2004.

Survivors include daughters, Pat Francis of Dallas, LaJuan Cato and husband, Lee of Decatur and son Geary Don McCracken of Electra; 45 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a wonderful mother and homemaker and a skilled seamstress. She was a member of the Eastern Star and loved playing the piano and bridge.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
