Glenda Janell Copening

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012, in the Chapel at Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, with Rev. Dennis Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Iowa Park, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Janell was born September 30, 1941. She married Raymond Carlton Copening. They were owners of City Café of Iowa Park, Texas. They were married 34 wonderful years. They enjoyed playing co-ed volleyball, going camping, boating, hunting and fishing together. He was a very devoted husband and the love of her life. Janell also enjoyed bike riding in the HHH bike ride every year and loved playing ladies volleyball and golfing at Sheppard Air Force Base. Janell was preceded in death by her father, Glen Cannedy.

Survivors include husband, Ray, three caring and loving sons, Glen Howard Hamilton and wife, Brenda, of Wichita Falls, Roger Allen Hamilton of Dallas, Texas and Perry Lee Hamilton and wife, Lisa, of Iowa Park; four sweet grandchildren, Shaina Brasier and husband, Ryan, of Wichita Falls; Blake Hamilton of Iowa Park, Zachary Hamilton and Haylie Hamilton of Iowa Park; two precious great grandchildren, Grae Elizabeth Hamilton of Iowa Park and Colten Brasier of Wichita Falls; her 94 year old mother, Mamie Boyce Cannedy; two brothers, Douglas Cannedy and wife, Judy, of Temple, Texas, and Lloyd Cannedy and wife, Bobbie, of Wichita Falls; one sister, Patsy Cannedy, of Wichita Falls; three stepchildren, Steve Copening and wife, Caren, of Florida and Carla and Jill Copening of Wichita Falls.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday evening, December 20, 2012, at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, P.O. Box 4804, Wichita Falls, TX 76308.
