Dacil Legard Bowers Jr.

Dacil Legard Bowers, Jr., 67, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.

Dacil was born July 20, 1949 in Jefferson County, Alabama to Dacil L., Sr. and Shirley Bowers. He retired as a Sergeant First Class in the US Army, serving in the Vietnam War, and he also retired from the State of Alabama. Dacil loved his kids, grandkids, and his dog Sadie dearly.

Surviving relatives include his daughter, Sharon Dawn Wood of West Jefferson, Alabama; daughter, Angel Lynn Bowers; son, Dacil Legard Bowers, III; son, Richard Alan Bowers, all of Iowa Park; all of his siblings; 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
