Cynthia Jane (Glazener) Boren, 81, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park with Dr. Ted Spear officiating. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.
Cynthia was born June 26, 1934 in Grayback, Texas to Charles and Jeanette (Fulton) Glazener. She married J.W. Boren on February10,1951 in Kadane Corner, Texas. She retired from Sealed-Air Corporation in 2004 where she worked for 23 years in production. Cynthia was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park. She was also a member of Friendly Door Senior Citizens in Iowa Park where she loved visiting and working with arts and crafts. She loved anything to do with racing, loved watching football and ice skating, and playing bingo.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her husband in 1997; her parents; great grandson, Tristan Long; and great granddaughter, Madalyne Abagail Grace Swinburne.
Surviving relatives include her children, Walter Boren and his wife, LaNita of Wichita Falls; Beverly Boren of Wichita Falls; and Brenda Anderson and her husband, Bobby of Iowa Park; two siblings, Sonny Glazener and his wife, Alice of Marble Falls, Texas and Kay Perkins and her husband, Ernest of Vashti, Texas; five grandchildren, Michael Baker and his wife, Chasity of Iowa Park; Marcy Long and her husband, Pat of Denton, Texas; Tamie Swinburne; Marina Williams and her husband, Jerry; and Kevin Boren, all of Wichita Falls; 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
