Brenda Gay Featherston

She was born on August 28, 1947, in Topeka, Kansas, to the late Houston Walter Darnell and Veeda Gayle Schreiner Darnell.

Brenda, known for her loving and caring nature, cherished her time spent with family. She was a devoted wife to Ray Featherston and a beloved mother to her sons, Scott Featherston and Chad Featherston. Brenda also leaves behind her sister, Rotha Laurel. She was a doting grandmother to four grandchildren and had the joy of being a great grandmother to six.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Darnell, and her daughter, Tina Coleman.

In her free time, Brenda enjoyed watching movies and TV shows. She was a homemaker her whole life and also worked as a Real Estate agent for several years.

Brenda graduated from Iowa Park High School. She found solace and community at First Baptist Church of Iowa Park, where she worshipped.

A graveside service to honor Brenda's life will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 11 AM under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
