Betty Lou Witt Cannedy went home to meet her Lord and Savior in the early hours of December 27, 2022. Betty was born in Temple, OK on April 21, 1930 to Sparlin Moody Witt and Irene Annabelle Sorge Witt. She met her husband Glendale at Miller and Miller Freight Lines, where they both worked. They married in Wichita Falls, TX on January 5, 1952. Betty and Glendale were members of Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park. She retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company of Wichita Falls. She herself was an avid lover of unusual plants. She always had a beautiful yard full of flowers. “Mom” as many called her, enjoyed life and had a heart of gold. Her greatest desire was for her children and grandchildren to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior. “Mom, in life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill.”
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Glendale; her mother and father; two brothers, Ray Witt and Marlin Witt.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Gayle Gafford and husband Ronnie and Sandra Britt and her husband, Jim; sister Wilda Musick and her husband Del; grandchildren, Justin Gafford and wife, Jamie, Shannon Willis and husband, Darren, Jeremy Grant and wife, Jessica, and Leah Anderson and husband, Jeremy; seven great grandsons, Kaleb Gafford, Brance Garrett, Connor Willis, Cooper Willis, Gage Grant, Case Anderson, and Bowen Grant.
