Violet Ann Campbell

Campbell, Violet Ann, 76 of Port Hood, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2014, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mary Belle (MacKinnon) and Thomas Hugh Campbell. A visit with Violet would always include a hot cup of tea and some tasty home baked goodies. She always had chocolate chip cookies for her nieces and nephews whom she held close to her heart. She is survived by her sisters, Charlene (Francis) Sutherland, Eveylena (Donald) Gillis, Port Hood; brothers, Edward, Halifax; Neil (Karen) MacDonald, Dartmouth; brother-in-law, Colin Miller; many neices and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Miller and brothers, John (Joy), and Stephen Campbell. Ms. Campbell will rest in Port Hood Area Resting Place with visitation Thursday, May 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Funeral Mass on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, Port Hood, with Father Vincent VanZutphen officiating with interment in the Parish Cemetery.
