Gillis Michael Daniel, Age, 73 passed away peacefully in Inverary Manor on February 14, 2017. Born in Inverness on March, 13, 1943, he was a son of the late John Alexander and Mary Catherine Gillis. He was a member of Stella Maris Church, Inverness. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing and had a great love for harness racing. Michael is survived by his brothers, Howard, Allan (Tish) and Douglas, sisters, Catherine, Louise and Bernadette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.Michael is predeceased by his brothers, Duncan, Raymond and Brian, sisters, Geraldine and Ann. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Inverary Manor, Inverness. By family request there will be no visitation or funeral mass. A private graveside service will take place at a later date in Stella Maris Parish Cemetery.
