Mary Margaret MacLellan

MACLELLAN, Mary Margaret: Age 85, formerly of Troy, Inverness Co., passed away peacefully on Monday November 9, 2015 in Northwood Manor in Halifax. Born in Gillisdale on August 12, 1930, she was a daughter of the late John Dan and Mary Catherine Gillis. Mary enjoyed Scottish music and Gaelic singing. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim Dan (of Dunvegan); and her brothers, Angus, Hughie, John and Mike. She is survived by her children, Billy (Susan) Sherwood Park, Alberta; Kathy (Charles) and Donna (Stephen), both of Halifax. Mary is also survived by her grandchildren, Kayleigh, Kimberly and Christine. Visitation will be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Thursday November 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Friday at 11a.m. in St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Broad Cove with Fr. Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Margaret of Scotland Parish Cemetery, Broad Cove.
