Mary Agnes Beaton, born March 7th, 1937, was called back to the Lord on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones in Inverary Manor in Inverness. Mary devoted many years of service both Mary’s Hill Home in Mabou and the Inverary Manor in Inverness. Upon retirement and throughout her lifetime Mary was a faithful and loving Mother taking pride in her home and role as a homemaker baking pies, fudge and bread and sharing all her goodies with her loved ones.
Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who loved her, likely over her beloved cup of tea.
Her memory will continue to live on in the abundance of quilts she created with love and in the smell and feel of crisp linens fresh off the clothesline.
She filled her home with warmth and kindness through her love for Christmas, her particular (and thorough!) cleaning techniques and skillful ability to always get the best deals. The combination of her selflessness and fearless ability to speak her truth truly made her unique and irreplaceable. We will miss her greatly.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital and/or Inverary Manor. There will be a funeral at 11:00am Saturday, October 9th, 2021 at Stella Maris Parish as well as visitation from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm on Friday, October 8th, 2021 in Inverness Funeral Home. Mom, may the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sunshine warm upon your face, may the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, May the Lord hold you in the palm of his hand.
We love you more.
