Malcolm Peter Kennedy

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Peter Kennedy on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, after a short illness. Peter was born in Inverness on May 23, 1950 and was a son of the late John a and Florrie Kennedy. Peter is survived by his brothers, Alex (Judy), Bernie (Peggy), Ron (Sharon) and Glenn, sisters, Hazel, Margaret Anne, Frankie (Melvin) and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Chris, John, Joe, David and sisters, Sally, Barbara and Mary. Peter enjoyed socializing with his many friends and loved telling stories. He especially loved and was very close to his two nieces, Patty and Kathy. Bingo and playing cards was his passion. Visitation will be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Thursday January 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in Stella Maris Church, Inverness with Fr. Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date.
