Lucy Margaret LeBlanc Barkhouse

She was predeceased by her husband Norman, parents Patrick and Irene LeBlanc, her sisters Emma MacLellan, Patsy Poirier, Theresa MacEachern and Phyllis Cameron and a nephew Billy Cameron.

Lucy was a woman who lived her faith out daily in many ways, her love and compassion that she showed to others, her tireless acts of services to her church and community, teaching catechism, knitting puppets for IWK, serving as a homemaker to seniors or her upbeat and positive attitude. Lucy was an inspiration to all those around her and she will be dearly missed, especially by her family her sisters Ginnie Roach and Rita Bourque as well as her many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.

A wake for Lucy was held from 2-4 and 7-9 on Thursday, Aug. 13 at Inverness Funeral Home. Funeral Mass took place at 11:00am on Friday, Aug. 14 at Stella Maris Church, Inverness. The family would like to thank all of the nurses and staff that so wonderfully cared for Lucy during her final days and also thank you to Drs. Lok and MacDonald for their care and attention.
