Age 50 of Bedford (formally Sydney) Noelle passed away August 22nd, 2022, in Halifax with loving friends and family by her side. Born December 18th, 1971, Noelle was the daughter of the late George and Sandra (Mackenzie) Fraser. Noelle is survived by her Common Law Husband JJ MacDonald Stepchildren Peyton and Regan MacDonald, Mother-in-Law Mary Catherine MacDonald, Sisters Debi-Jean (John) Fraser and Vanessa (Luke) Vaillancourt, nephew George (Shalia) and niece and nephew Jack and Victoria “The littles”. Noelle had a big family of aunts, uncles, and cousins not to mention her massive Military family stretching from Coast to Coast. She was predeceased by her Father-in-Law Wayne MacDonald, Brother-in-Law Jimmy MacDonald as well as her Uncle Bobby Fraser, Aunt Arlene (Lively) Fraser and God-Daughter Sarah.
Noelle was indeed a firecracker who put up the bravest fight since she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in October 2021. She gave it everything she had right up until her last breath. To no surprise, the nurses at the VGH commented on the large amount of family and friends that stayed by her side confirming what a special lady she was. They say that an average person will meet 80,000 people in a lifetime, most you forget, but I doubt anyone who met Noelle could forger her as she was one in a million. Noelle always put everyone ahead of herself as she was the kindest most giving woman.
Noelle was an outstanding Stepmother to Peyton and Regan always ensuring they were doing the right thing and had everything they needed. Regan is going to miss their Friday morning drives to school with your medium tea with milk and double toasted (burnt) cinnamon raison bagel. Peyton will miss the candid conversations about almost anything and you making him clean his room. Noelle was not only a people lover she loved dogs as well, we all knew how special her confidant “Caper” was. Caper guided Noelle through difficult times in her life. She would say that “he knew and has seen everything I’ve been through”.
Noelle spent 31 years in the Military joining as Medic and working her way up through the ranks to the rank of Captain as a Physician’s Assistant. This was Noelle’s true calling as she was put on this earth to help people, Noelle was even able to help people even after she passed by donating her corneas, this would have made her so proud. Noelle had 5 deployments, 4 postings, sailed on 6 HMC Ships and was Advance Dive Medicine Qualified. She had taken thousands of vitals and mentored hundreds of Medical Technicians, not to mention millions of jokes made touching everyone. During her deployments Noelle would put teams together and seek out shelters or charities to work at while in port. She helped people all over the world including Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Bosnia as well as all over Canada.

A Special thanks to friends Frank, Sarah, Greg, Wanda, Buzz, Pete, Janet, Melinda, Donna, Ann, Cathy, and Paddy for the many visits and laughter making sure Noelle was happy on her darkest days. Our Neighbors known as the “Aspenhillers” who provided Noelle with “Magical Monday” gifts which enabled her to forget the sickness as she read the cards and opened the gifts. We will forever be indebted for all those who called, emailed, text and mailed cards.
There are so many lives Noelle touched in a positive way. So many memories that bring a smile and show how wonderful a person Noelle was. So many stories about how she made a difference in everyone’s day. There are so many hearts that are feeling sadness because Noelle was here and because she was loved.
