Jesslyn was a nurse and graduated from SJSN in 1977 and leaves behind many wonderful friends. She retired early from the IWK Grace Maternity Hospital, Halifax to be a companion to our mother in 2015. Jess was a great host and cook; she had many special dishes we all enjoyed.
Jesslyn was born in Inverness, to the late Bernie and Patsy LeFort. She is survived by brothers, Gerard (Helen) and Daniel (Karen), all of Saint John; sister, Bernice (Len Habel), McAllen, Texas; sister- in-law, Joanne LeFort, Halifax; former brother-in-law, Jeff Sahadi; and special friend, Norma Radcliffe. Oldest brother, Jack LeFort predeceased Jesslyn in March 2020.
Jess also leaves behind to remember her with stories, nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces. She loved them as her own.

And finally to all her friends, her cousins and former co-workers that kept in touch by cards, flowers or making long drives to Saint John to visit. Know that she appreciated it all and as she said “later gator”.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation to be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Friday July 5, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A celebration of life on Saturday July 6th, 2024 in Stella Maris Church, Inverness followed by a reception at the Inverness Fire Hall, and bonfire on the beach; weather permitting.
In lieu of flowers, Jesslyn and the family ask for donations to Bobby’s Hospice, St. John, New Brunswick, your local SPCA or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
