It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Glenn Kennedy on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Glenn was born in Inverness on August 21, 1953 and was a son of the late John A. and Florrie Kennedy. Glenn is survived by his brothers, Bernie (Peggy), Ron (Sharon), and sisters, Hazel, Margaret Anne, Frankie (Melvin) and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Chris, Alex, John, Joe, Peter, David and sisters, Sally, Barbara and Mary. Glenn loved his family and friends especially his family at MacDonald Hall, who have taken such wonderful care of him for the past 6 years. Glenn enjoyed sitting outside and greeting every passerby with a big smile and a handshake. Glenn also enjoyed going to the horse races and to the local restaurant for a hamburger and fries. Visitation will be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Sunday, June 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11a.m. in Stella Maris Church, Inverness with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Flowers are welcome. Memorial donations may be made to MacDonald Hall or Mill Road Social Enterprises.
