Daniel James MacPhee

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son and brother, Daniel James MacPhee on October 25, 2015 of Port Hood. Born in Inverness on October 16, 1960, he was a son of Mary Ann and the late Alexander Donald "Alex" MacPhee. He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Toodie"; three treasured children, sons Brock (Amy), Grant and daughter Danielle (aka Weedy), siblings, Donna (Gary) Meagher, Alexis Beaton, Ronnie (Roxanne) MacPhee, Mary (Scott) MacDonald, Bradley (Bonnie) MacPhee, Lynn (Edwin) MacLean, Tobi (Roy) MacLean and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his cherished granddaughter, Izzy who was the light of his life and who will miss her umpa dearly. Daniel was predeceased by his sister, Mary Catherine in infancy. Daniel was a well-respected miner for many years, a true friend to many, loved a good game of cards and was known for his love and ownership of antique vehicles. Visitation will be held in Port Hood & Area Resting Place on Tuesday November 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Stella Maris Church, Inverness with Fr. Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society.
