Colin Joseph Beaton

Beaton Colin Joseph, Age 85, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital with family by his side. Born on Friday, November 13, 1931, he was a son of the late Archibald James and Catherine Ann (MacDonald) Beaton. He was a member of St. Peter's Church, Port Hood and Colin was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He loved to pick up the guitar and sing a song. His other passion was nature in all it's beauty. He will be remembered fondly by all of his nieces and nephews and will be missed by all who came to know him. Colin was predeceased by brothers, John Dan, James, Damian, and John Neil Beaton; sisters, Mary Ann MacNeil, Florence Beaton, Annie Laurie Gillis, Annie Marie Grant and Clementine Beaton. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or Funeral Mass. A private graveside service will be held as per Collins request on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1 p.m. in St Peter's Parish Cemetery, Port Hood with Fr. Vincent vanZutphen officiating. Donations may be made in Colin’s memory to St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery Fund, Port Hood or to a charity of your choice.
