Born February 2, 1943 to parents, Louis and Denise (Lasage) Smith.
She put up a brave fight the last ten years with health issues.
Beatrice will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor and making people feel welcome, especially in her home. She made sure everyone had a cup of tea and a bite to eat.
In her earlier years, she was employed at St. Mary's Hospital, Inverness, as a kitchen worker until its closing. She then moved on to Holy Family Convent as housekeeper and cook.
In later years she was a caregiver.
She leaves to mourn her sisters, Mary MacQuarrie, Inverness; Jeanette (Gary) Lean, Ontario; brothers, David (Vickie) Smith, Ontario; and Phonse (Agnes) Martell, New Waterford.
She also leaves behind her nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews and her many good friends who helped her throughout the years. God Bless you all for taking her to appointments, to the store, church, running errands and whatever she needed.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Joseph White; sister, Bertha; and brother, Ernest.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, there will be no visitation. A private family Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 19th in Stella Maris Church, Inverness with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
