MacLean Angus Archie – age 82, passed away suddenly at home in Colindale on Wednesday December 8, 2010. Born in Colindale, Inverness Co.; on February 27, 1928, he was a son of the late Rory Francis and Mary Sarah (MacDonald) MacLean. Angus was a life long resident of Colindale where he was engaged in fishing and farming, a devoted Catholic and member of St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Angus is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary MacLean (late Peter), Port Hood; Mae MacLean (late Alexander), Niagara Falls,Ont.; and brother-in-law Eric (late Euphemia), Brown, Laval, Que.; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and nephews of whom he was very proud. Angus also leaves behind his loyal companion Lassie, who traveled by his side. Angus was predeceased by brothers, John, Hector and Joseph, sisters, Margaret, Mary Margaret and Bell. Visitation will be held in Port Hood and Area Resting Place on Thursday, December 16 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, December 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood, with Fr.
