AGE 88 of Mabou passed away Aug 30, 2022
Edward was born on Nov 1, 1933. He was the youngest of 12 children. He was a son of the late Donald
“Dan S.” & Christena “Tena” Cameron (MacNeil) of Mabou.
Besides his parents ,Edward was predeceased by his wife Carlene (Habicht) 2006, siblings, Sandy (Pat MacPhee), Annie May (d. 5 years), Rebecca (John Francis Cameron) Alexina (d.1 year), Catherine (Joseph Doyle), Anna Marie (d.2 years), Ena (Tommy Burke) Bernard (Jessie
Kennedy), Angus Francis (d1 day), Donald Francis “ Frankie” (Dena
Peters), Lawrence (d.16 years).
Edward is survived by Carlene’s daughters, Debbie Larade (Arnold DeVouge) & Linda (Jamie MacEachern) & their grandchildren Tammy, Wade and Jamie, several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Dena Cameron.
Edward worked for Concrete Delivery in Detroit. While working in Detroit, he met up with many good friends from Cape Breton, however he felt he lived his dream to retire in his family home in Mabou and in
turn marry his best friend Carlene. Edward was a kind quiet gentleman, who could be seen most days
walking his 4 mile trail as his daily outing. Edward lived the last three years in the Mira Nursing Home in Truro due to a stroke in Sept 2019.

Visitation will be held in St. Mary's Church, Mabou on Monday, September 5th, 2022 from 10 - 10:45 a.m.
with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
